Caterpillars Pre-School

We are a privately owned Pre-School, delivering quality affordable childcare to local families. Caterpillars is registered with Ofsted to care for children aged 2-5. We are proud to be rated ‘Good’ By Ofsted in February 2018 and October 2023.

Parents choose us as we are a small nursery, our max is 22 per session. We get to know our children very well, and they form meaningful bonds with the staff team. No children are forgotten at Caterpillars. Each child is treated as an individual.

We employ a high quality team of practitioners, with a wealth of qualifications and experience with young children. We have many years of experience caring for pre-school children, and know what it is like to be a parent in a busy world. We use the innovative and fascinating Thrive approach to support behaviour (see menu on Thrive). 

 

Our practitioners undertake regular training to ensure up to date knowledge and guidance.  Our primary focus is to offer children a warm, fun, friendly, stimulating and safe place to play and explore.  Children start to know what it is to be part of a team, learn to socialise and how to share. The adults in our Pre-School are friendly, responsive and experts in supporting young children. The majority of our staff have childcare qualifications, with the manager holding an Early Years Level 6 degree.

We offer FREE 2 year old FEET funded places, 3-4 year old places and the 30 hour childcare. Check eligibility at Funded early education for two year olds (FEET) - Surrey County Council (surreycc.gov.uk)

We offer free snack, free access to Tapestry learning journeys, free early years education. There are no 'top up' fees.

Opening hours

We open for breakfast club 830-9. We are offering this free for new families claiming 15 hours that start in April 2024.
